Back to School Bash
Children of Hope celebrates the importance of education by having an annual bash. Local churches and businesses donate needed school supplies. At this event, we give out these supplies to our children and youth. We also take this opportunity to register our prior year’s students for a new year at Children of Hope. This is usually held at a local swimming pool.
Graduation Celebration
Graduation is always a time to celebrate! When we see one of our kids successfully make it through High School and get that diploma we just want to give God the praise. As they have asked many times, “God, how can I use my life to serve you?” We realize they are now entering a new chapter in their life…one that we have been praying about since they were small children. We pray God’s mighty hand of protection over each one of our graduates.
Education Incentive Trips
At Children of Hope we are very concerned about the education of our kids. Academic and Biblical education is essential in helping to ensure their ability to live successful lives. Education is helpful when working for the Kingdom of God and also helps them to become good citizens in our community. So, we monitor our kid’s grades at school and their Bible Study attendance. If academics are a problem, we set up tutoring services that offered through local agencies. Those who work hard to keep their grades up and have perfect Bible Study attendance earn a FREE trip in June. Trips have included: Ober Gatlinburg, The Track in Pigeon Forge, and weekends at Echota Cabins in the Smoky Mountains.
Splash into Summer
Summer is such a fun time! Schools out and the kids are ready for a break. What could be more fun that water on a hot day? Children of Hope has provided our kids with a few days of water fun. We may swim or play at the local splash pad and park. We always have lots of food and fun. But, most importantly there is always spiritual food, a teaching from God’s Word.
Year End Celebration
The month of May signals that we are coming to the end of a year at Children of Hope. A time of good-byes but… just until summer is over. It is a special time of looking back over the great memories we had together in the Lord. It is a night of giving God the glory for all the wonderful things He has done in our mist.
